Princess Festival

Grandma Debbie invited Grace, Jacee, and Libby to come spend the night at her Springville house. I got to be a chaperon.

They didn't fall asleep until 10:30 p.m. or so and then woke up at 5:30 a.m..

 The next morning the girls got dressed up to go to the Princess Festival at Thanksgiving Point.

 They were told to spin in circles and scream as loud as they could. It was 
hilarious!

 Waiting for lunch. Can you tell that the lack of sleep and the heat was catching up to them?

 Tiana had a real frog that she actually kissed.

 They got to ride in Cinderella's carriage.

 And made a craft. Grace chose to make a quizzel rod (wand).

They all fell asleep 10 minutes into the ride home.

Cub Scout Camp

Jacob was so excited to go to scout camp. The excitement increased when he was able to invite cousin James from Virginia to come along. He was really looking forward to the zip line but got a little nervous to go off the platform. In the end, he gave it ago and even went for a second try.

Every event has its tourist trap. At cub scout camp it is the Trading Post. Jacob had saved his money for his first pocket knife. A friend of his went to camp a couple of days before him and got a knife for $8. Jacob had exactly $8, unfortunately the trading post was out of pocket knives. We took him to Big Five when he got home and found a killer deal on a better knife.

Grandpa M&M

We finally had my dad over for Father's Day. He was telling us how he needs knees surgery. The next thing we know, he is outside jumping on the trampoline.

 We can still do a mean front flip but I never could catch it with the camera.

 If he isn't careful, he will need surgery on more than his knee.

 Jacob and James tried to play 'Dead Man, Dead Man' with Grandpa M&M but could never sit him upright.
